Magda Forta was born from a simple belief: caring for ourselves shouldn’t be complicated.
Founded by Violetta Magdalene Bouwer during a season of transition and rediscovery, the brand began out of necessity—a search for clean, effective products that could nourish hair and skin without requiring countless steps or a shelf full of bottles. What started as a personal pursuit soon became a deeper philosophy: simplicity, quality, and care rooted in nature.
Later joined by her sister Thalia Alexi Bouwer the two are committed to serving multiple hair types as they have different hair types themselves, curating versatile products that are both effective and clean.
At Magda Forta, we believe that healthy hair and skin don’t require excess. We create botanical products with thoughtfully selected ingredients, drawing inspiration from traditional wisdom and the richness of locally sourced African botanicals whenever possible.
