Caring for Your Kente

Your Kente is more than a piece of fabric — it represents heritage, craftsmanship, identity, and tradition. Proper care helps preserve its vibrant colors, texture, and beauty for years to come.

Ewe Kente may be gently washed when appropriate. We recommend using mild detergent, cold or lukewarm water, and gentle handling. Avoid harsh chemicals, vigorous scrubbing, and excessive wringing.

To preserve the traditional finish, colors, and delicate craftsmanship of Ashanti Kente, we recommend that it not be washed. Where cleaning is necessary, please seek professional fabric-care advice.

Handle With Care
Keep your Kente away from harsh chemicals, bleach, and prolonged direct sunlight. When storing, fold it neatly and keep it in a clean, dry place.

Returns & Exchange

At JOHN K ASANTE VENTURES, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not entirely happy with your clothing item, we are happy to offer a refund, provided the following conditions are met.

1. 7-Day Return Period
Return requests must be initiated and the item shipped back to us within 7 days of receiving your order. Returns requested after this period will not be accepted.

2. Item Condition
To qualify for a refund, the item must be returned in its original condition. It must be:
Unworn
Unwashed
Undamaged
Free from stains, odors, or other signs of use
Returned with all original tags attached
Items that show signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage may not be eligible for a refund.

3. Return Shipping & Customs
The customer is responsible for all costs associated with returning an item. This includes return shipping fees, customs duties, taxes, and any other clearance or handling fees incurred during the return process.

4. Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, it will be inspected to ensure that it meets our return requirements. If the return is approved, your refund will be processed and credited to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Please allow the applicable processing time for your payment provider to reflect the refund in your account.
